LATEST COVID-19 UPDATES BY NSW GOVERNMENT AT 26 JUNE 2021
Restrictions for Greater Sydney
The current Public Health Order is in force from 6pm on Saturday 26 June until at least the end of September 2021.
For Greater Sydney, including Blue Mountains, Wollondilly, Hawkesbury and Wollongong
Stay at home directions are in place for everyone whose place of residence or usual place of work is in these areas (excluding anyone who hasn’t been in Greater Sydney since Monday 21 June 2021).
All Places of Public Worship must remain closed to the public, except for:
People who are working (paid or volunteer) for the church may attend the premises to fulfil essential work requirements if the work cannot be done from home, provided the premises stays closed to the public. This includes live-streaming a service.
Anyone who lives outside this affected area of Greater Sydney must not enter it. The limited exceptions include attending a compliant funeral and permitting a minister of religion to go to their place of worship.
All people are required to carry proof of their address if you leave your home for a reasonable excuse, exercising outdoors and are leaving the Greater Sydney (incl. Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Shellharbour and Wollongong regions).
Stay-At-Home Orders – Extended until at least the end of September 2021.
The NSW Government announced earlier this week that the current lockdown and Stay-at-Home Orders in place across Greater Sydney, including the Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Wollongong and Shellharbour have been extended until at least the end of September 2021.
Further Restrictions in place for Greater Sydney:
The NSW Government have tightened restrictions around visitors to homes. This amendment directs that a person must not visit a place of residence unless there is a specific exemption and, even with an exemption, there must only be one visitor only. This includes Pastors or Church Leaders who are visiting under Minister or Care exemptions.

The NSW Government have also strongly urged the community to stay at home unless it is absolutely necessary for you to leave your home and to comply with the rules in place.

In Greater Sydney it is not possible to hold in person youth or children’s programs or groups at this time. We would encourage you to find ways to support connection through online groups.

- providing a service to assist vulnerable members of the public, for example a food bank or a service providing for the needs of homeless persons;
- providing educational services, including early childhood education, and childcare;
- funerals with up to 10 people.

In addition to all current restrictions in place,
- from Friday 9 July 2021, exercise is only permitted with ONE other person outside of your household. This must take place within your Local Government Area or within 5km of where you live; and
- from Sunday 11 July 2021, funerals are limited to TEN persons only.
- from Thursday 27 July 2021, you must stay within 5km of your home or LGA for shopping for food and services (unless the food or goods and services are not reasonably available locally).
The NSW Government have also strongly urged the community to stay at home unless it is absolutely necessary for you to leave your home and to comply with the rules in place.
